Marketing Operator (US Sports & Fitness Company)

The Remote Marketing Operator will be responsible for overseeing The Client’s digital marketing operations, ensuring content flows smoothly from creation to customer engagement and sales. This role combines AI tool management, content organization, and light marketplace upkeep to help scale our Client’s growing sports & fitness brand.

Key Responsibilities:

Role of AI

Content repurposing: turn one athlete video into multiple formats for TikTok, Google, and other platforms using OpusClip, Captions.ai, Descript, CapCut.

Content scheduling & testing: automate posting schedules and maximize reach using Metricool, Later.com.

Copywriting & caption variants: keep the brand’s voice fresh across platforms using ChatGPT, Jasper.

Community Automation: build DM flows, capture leads, and enable follow-ups using MANYChat+Klaviyo.

Role of Employee

Klaviyo email marketing: Create 2 branded content emails per month for current subscribers. Plan ahead for seasonal sales and promotions.

Oversee AI tools: Ensure the content pipeline flows smoothly and outputs align with brand standards.

Content Library Management: Manage Team’s content library and coordinate uploads with the Team.

Content Approval: Review AI-generated captions/cuts and maintain consistency with the brand.

Track Athlete Performance: Monitor athlete content delivery and performance against deadlines.

Content → Sales Funnel: Connect content to DM flows, then into Klaviyo email/SMS funnels that drive sales.

Amazon Maintenance: Monitor ad spend, check ASINs/SKUs, verify listings, explore bundling/promotions (≈1 hr/week).

Walmart Marketplace Maintenance: Verify listings, monitor reviews, check fulfillment, run light promos (≈1 hr/week).

CEO Content Support: Communicate directly with the CEO to help promote podcasts, YouTube videos, and founder-led content aimed at the 35–55 demographic.

Requirements

Experience & Skills

  • 2–3 years of experience in digital marketing, e-commerce operations, or marketing coordination.
  • Proficiency with AI-powered marketing tools (e.g., OpusClip, Descript, Jasper, ChatGPT, ManyChat, Metricool, Later.com).
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms (preferably Klaviyo).
  • Basic knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and Walmart Marketplace operations.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a content library and track multiple athlete deliverables.
  • Excellent attention to detail for reviewing AI-generated content and ensuring brand consistency.
  • Understanding of sales funnels and how to connect content, DMs, email/SMS, and promotions into revenue.
  • Strong communication skills for direct collaboration with leadership (CEO, marketing leads, athlete managers).
