Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Multimedia Arts, Advertising, Business Administration, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
• Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing concepts.
• Familiarity with content creation, copywriting and visual communication is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic design tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in social media content creation for employer branding and campaigns.
• Support documentation of internal events with photos/videos and summaries.
• Create and develop content write-ups for social media and web.
• Assist in editing photos/videos and producing marketing materials.
• Gain exposure to project management and various brand guidelines.

Learning Objectives

Program Overview:

The Marketing and Communications Internship Program offers participants the opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in marketing and communications and learn to use different platforms while contributing meaningfully to the team’s projects and goals. This program is designed to provide a solid foundation for a career in marketing and communications.

Key Learning Objectives:

1. Employer branding:

• Social media content for employer branding, including but not limited to internal events, local holidays/ special commemoration, employee stories, and hiring.
• Documentation of internal events -- photo and video coverage, summary of event including date, time, and involved parties.

2. Marketing support:

• Gain experience in creating social materials for social media as advised by Digital Marketing Specialist/Marketing and Communications Manager.
• Learn to produce visual materials needed for campaigns.
• Help create and develop content write-ups of social media and web.

3. Others:

• Custodian of marketing's audio and video equipment.
• Gain knowledge and implement Atlas Copco Group and Atlas Copco brand guidelines.
• Copy writing/ content writing: Improve writing and editing skills for various platforms.
• Photo and video editing: Enhance skills in documenting events and creating marketing materials.
• Project management: Learn principles of project management and take on increasing responsibilities.

4. Gain knowledge by supporting the Marketing and Communications department in the following projects:

• Local Hub update
• Quarterly newsletter (Q3 & Q4 2024)
• Employee stories (Quarterly)
• oneCT campaign
• Organization structure per department/division
• Traditional and digital marketing

5. Develop expertise on the platforms below:

• Sharepoint
• Canva
• Turtl
• Adobe Experience Manager
• Sprout Social
• Photo/video editing too

Knowledge and Skills:

• Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing concepts.
• Familiarity with content creation, copywriting, and visual communication is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using design and content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms is preferred but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
