  • Support veterinarians in managing medically complex cases and navigating clinical challenges.
  • Address medically related client concerns with professionalism, empathy, and sound clinical judgment.
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Build strong relationships with the veterinary team through regular communication, coaching, and support.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to associate veterinarians based on their individual interests and development goals.
  • Support ongoing clinical education and encourage DVMs to pursue areas of professional interest.
  • Participate in the recruitment and interviewing of new veterinary team members.
  • Support performance development through regular check-ins, feedback, and coaching.
  • Foster an environment where veterinarians feel comfortable collaborating, asking questions, and sharing knowledge.
  • Serve as an onsite role model and demonstrate positive, collaborative, and servant-minded leadership.
  • Partner closely with the Hospital Manager to cultivate a supportive, respectful, and engaging workplace.
  • Encourage collaboration between veterinarians and the support team.
  • Recognize team members' strengths and help them grow and succeed in their roles.
  • Promote high morale, open communication, accountability, and teamwork throughout the hospital.

Hospital Operations & Business Partnership

  • Partner with the Hospital Manager to support the hospital's overall operational and financial performance.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve hospital efficiency, patient flow, scheduling, and the client experience.
  • Participate in reviewing hospital performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Hospital Manager and NVA leadership on budgeting, capital needs, and hospital initiatives.
  • Support the development and implementation of hospital policies, procedures, and medical protocols.
  • Contribute to sustainable hospital growth while maintaining a strong focus on quality medicine and patient care.
