Nexus Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced CPA Manager to lead audit and assurance engagements for a portfolio of clients in the Philippines. This role requires managing end-to-end audit delivery, supervising teams, and upholding audit quality while delivering value-added insights.

The ideal candidate has strong external audit background, solid accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage people and client relationships in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Qualifications

• CPA required with bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
• 7–10 years audit experience, with 2–3 years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of ISA, IFRS/local GAAP, and audit methodologies.
• Experience managing multi-sector audits; financial services exposure a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; client-facing skills.
• Proficient in audit tools and MS Office; data analytics exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements per standards and methodologies.
• Manage multiple engagement teams, ensuring high-quality output, timely delivery, and budget adherence.
• Provide technical guidance and serve as escalation point for complex accounting/audit matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding business needs and insights.
• Review financial statements, workpapers, and audit documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify process improvements or risk mitigation and communicate findings to clients.
• Support development of internal initiatives, including QA, methodologies, and audit delivery innovation.
• Mentor and coach junior staff and contribute to performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accountancy or related field; must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• At least 7-10 years of audit experience, including 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards (e.g., ISA), accounting frameworks (e.g., IFRS or local GAAP), and audit methodologies.
• Experience managing audit engagements across multiple sectors; financial services exposure is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, develop talent, and lead client conversations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in audit tools and Microsoft Office; experience with data analytics or audit automation tools is an advantage.
