As a Management Accountant for a growing Australian company, you will serve as a strategic financial partner rather than a traditional bookkeeper. You will manage a complex multi-entity structure involving 8 Xero files across two core business entities. Your objective is to drive profitability through detailed project analysis, system optimization, and high-level internal reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Analysis: Conduct daily bank reconciliations for 8 files and provide insights into business performance and project profitability.
- AU Compliance: Prepare and lodge BAS/IAS, manage TPAR through Xero, and ensure GST, PAYG, and Superannuation compliance.
- Systems Management: Lead the implementation of the ApprovalMax system and optimize Xero workflows for efficiency.
- Financial Operations: Oversee accounts payable/receivable and execute weekly payroll for a growing team.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Generate monthly financial report packs and collaborate with external tax accountants for EOFY close-out.
Required Qualifications
- Xero Mastery: Extensive experience managing multiple files within Xero is mandatory.
- Australian Tax Expertise: Proven track record in AU-specific tax compliance (GST, BAS, Super).
- Education: Degree in Accountancy or Financial Management; CPA license preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in Management Accounting or Senior Bookkeeping.
