Job summary

ENGIE Services (Philippines) is seeking a skilled HVAC technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, including chillers, boilers, and heat pumps. The role includes providing hands-on maintenance and support for building management systems.

Ideal candidates will have a technical/vocational diploma with Refrigeration and Aircon units, TESDA NCII, and basic MS Word/Excel skills. Willingness to train others and respond to emergencies is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any technical/vocational/diploma course with Refrigeration and Aircon units
• TESDA NCII certificate holder
• Basic MS Word and Excel skills
• Adequate knowledge of troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of HVAC systems (motors, hydraulics, sensors, PLCs or related controls)

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots and repairs HVAC units including chillers, boilers and heat pumps
• Troubleshoots malfunctioning HVAC systems to identify faults
• Performs scheduled maintenance inspections and calibrates systems
• Repairs wiring and electronic components of building management systems
• Replaces valves, compressors, motors, coil units and related parts
• Assists in training other technicians and staff in preventative maintenance of HVAC systems
• Responds to emergency service requests

About the role

Installs, troubleshoots and repairs heating, air conditioning and refrigeration units, including chillers, boilers and heat pumps. Provides technical assistance with the design of HVAC systems including installations and modifications to existing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots and repairs heating, air conditioning and refrigeration units, including chillers, boilers and heat pumps
• Troubleshoots malfunctioning heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems to determine the cause of the malfunction
• Performs scheduled maintenance inspections, and adjusts, cleans and calibrates various systems to assure proper system operations
• Repairs wiring and electronic components associated with automated building management systems
• Replaces expansion valves, compressors, motors, coil units and other component parts
• Cleans refrigerant systems from hermetic burnouts, evacuates, and charges systems
• Checks distribution systems for proper velocity, volume, temperature, pressure, etc.
• Determines cause of and corrects air-conditioning problems
• Assists in training other technicians and staff in preventative maintenance of HVAC systems
• Responds to emergency service requests
