Overview

Greet and assist customers in locating and selecting hardware products such as tools, paint, plumbing, electrical supplies, and construction materials.

Responsibilities
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations and product information to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of shelves, displays, and stock areas.
  • Handle product inquiries, returns, and exchanges professionally.
  • Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system and process transactions accurately.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory counts and replenishment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers or the purchasing department regarding stock requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with store safety and operational standards.
  • Support sales targets by promoting new or featured products.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or college level (any business or technical course is a plus).
  • With experience in a hardware store or retail environment (e.g., Ace Hardware, Handyman, True Value).
  • Strong knowledge of hardware tools, building materials, and home improvement products.
