Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a Line Uprating Project Staff to support upgrading overhead power lines to increase current-carrying capacity within Visayan Electric’s distribution network. You will assist in planning and executing uprating works to improve service continuity, reduce outages, and enhance safety.

You will coordinate with the Distribution Network team to ensure timely mobilization of resources, safer field operations, and reliable power service across priority areas in Cebu and nearby

Qualifications

• Senior High School graduate or graduate of electrical vocational course.
• Preferably with Non-Prof or Professional Driver's License.
• Has experience in electrical work and TESDA training is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in replacement and uprating of overhead primary conductors or higher capacity to support increased load demand and improve system reliability.
• Support field implementation of line uprating works within the Visayan Electric franchise area, including Liloan, Consolacion, Mandaue, Cebu, Talisay, Minglanilla, Naga, and San Fernando.
• Coordinate on-site activities under the direct supervision of the assigned supervisor/foreman within the Distribution Network Department to ensure safe and timely project execution.

As a Line Uprating Project Staff, you will be responsible for supporting the upgrading and enhancement of existing overhead power lines to increase their current-carrying capacity in response to growing residential, commercial, and industrial demand. You will assist in implementing critical line uprating works aimed at improving service continuity, reducing unplanned outages, and addressing safety-related concerns within priority segments of the distribution network. This role involves coordinating and executing project activities within a defined scope and timeframe to help ensure timely mobilization of resources, improved system reliability, enhanced safety performance, and the restoration of stable and efficient power service operations. You will work closely with the Distribution Network team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

What You Will Need

Education & Experience:

• Senior High School graduate or a graduate of any electrical vocational course
• Preferably with Non-Prof or Professional Driver's License
• Has experience in electrical work and TESDA training is an advantage

Technical / Functional Skills

• Has basic knowledge of overhead distribution line systems and electrical field works.
• Is familiar with safe field practices for construction, maintenance, or uprating of power lines.
• Willing to undergo Basic Lineman's Training (BLT)
• Can follow technical specifications and assist in line upgrading and replacement activities.
