Job description

The Lighting Design Director will be responsible for formulating and implementing the lighting design strategy of various brands, improving the process system of the lighting design department, and optimizing design processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Controlling the overall design process, including design direction and quality in advancing and mass production stages;
• Guiding relevant personnel to complete project styling design and checking design direction and program quality;
• Cooperating with modelers to create and control 3D models (digital and physical models);
• Solving technical problems encountered in the modeling design and development process;
• Guiding and training young designers to enhance the team's professional ability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in industrial design or a related major;
• More than 10 years of experience in automotive lighting design;
• Mastering basic professional knowledge of industrial design and automotive lighting structure;
• Having design experience of at least 5 car models, with a leading role, and excellent foresight and judgment of design trends;
• More than 5 years of team management experience, able to effectively lead the team and cooperate with other departments.

Skill Requirements:

• High ability of innovation and creation, excellent expressive ability via sketch and draft drawing, and a strong spirit of exploring new things;
• Familiarity with automobile structure and lamp structure, mastering lighting laws and regulations;
• Strong communication skills and clear logic in dealing with issues;
• Proficiency in PS, Alias, and other design software.
