Job description

Your mission

• Analyzingnaturallightsources,existinglighting,andarchitecturalfeatures.
• Consulting with clients and other professionals (architects, interior designers, etc.) to determine goals for lighting design.
• Creatinglightingplansthatbalancefunctionality(e.g.,tasklighting)and aesthetics.
• Selecting appropriate light fixtures, bulbs, and technologies (e.g., LED, halogen) based on efficiency, cost, and purpose.
• Incorporating considerations for energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost- effectiveness.

TechnicalandSafetyConsiderations

• Ensuringthedesignadherestorelevantbuildingcodesandsafetyregulations.
• Calculating the appropriate levels of light for different areas (lux, lumen output, etc.).
• Evaluating the placement and type of lighting to minimize glare, shadows, and discomfort.

3DModelingandVisualization

• Utilizingsoftware(e.g.,Dialux,Relux,AutoCAD,Revit)tocreate3Dmodelsand simulations of lighting effects.

CollaborationwithOtherProfessionals

• Coordinatingwithelectricians, architects,andprojectmanagerstoensurethatthe lighting design is implemented correctly.

SustainabilityandEnergyEfficiency

• ImplementingsustainablelightingsolutionssuchasLEDlighting,smartlighting controls, and daylight harvesting.
• Keepingup-to-datewithinnovationsinlightingtechnology,suchasautomated systems and energy-saving strategies.

CompliancewithStandards

• Ensuring the lighting design complies with local, national, or industry standards or other regulatory bodies.

You will report directly to Consultancy Services Team Lead.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or any related field.
• Licensed Interior Designer is a plus.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in lighting design or a related consulting role.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a range of successfully completed lighting projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate complex design concepts to clients.
• The ability to balance aesthetic goals with technical constraints, budgets, and energy efficiency requirements.
• Strong organizational skills to manage timelines, procurement of fixtures and materials across multiple projects.
