About the Life Sciences Practice

L.E.K.'s Life Sciences practice helps biotech and pharmaceutical companies, along with their investors and partners, build strategies that create lasting value from R&D through commercialization. Our teams combine scientific depth with rigorous, data-driven analysis to advise on corporate and franchise strategy, pipeline and asset evaluation, launch excellence, pricing and market access, and transactions across every stage of the deal lifecycle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

If you are a bright, motivated leader interested in tackling some of the toughest and most interesting business problems in life sciences, consider joining L.E.K. as a Life Sciences Senior Consultant.

Senior Consultants are central to our industry-leading life sciences work and sit at the core of our case team structure. Coming from diverse backgrounds and using their creative problem-solving, industry expertise, and managerial skills, Senior Consultants guide our case teams to provide clients insights with impact. You will make a difference by helping to drive our teams to deliver actionable value and targeted opportunities to help our clients win.

Senior Consultants at L.E.K. manage a team of Associates and/or Associate Consultants right from the start and are on point to ensure the team is addressing client problems and delivering an answer. While every case is different, Senior Consultants’ primary responsibilities typically include:

  • Applying your life sciences industry and scientific expertise to break down the client’s key opportunities and define hypotheses
  • Designing and supervising the team’s core primary and secondary research and analyses on clients’ markets, customers, and competitors day-to-day
  • Developing presentations and other deliverable structures that drive insights and actionable recommendations
  • Participating in the communication of project conclusions to client senior management
  • Providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to more junior staff

L.E.K. recruits the best and the brightest, then offers them the broadest range of high-impact, frequent, and diverse cases for maximum learning. As a Senior Consultant, you will build on a comprehensive foundation that integrates science, business, and economics, and continue to develop as both a life sciences expert and a business leader. You will deepen the strategic and managerial skills that provide an excellent foundation for a career at L.E.K. and strategic leadership in the healthcare and life sciences industries.

In addition to very competitive compensation and benefits and immediate management responsibility, we promote Senior Consultants to Managers as fast as they develop, based on demonstrated performance and contributions.
