Job summary

You will maintain patient records and inventories, recommend OTC options, collaborate with health care professionals to review regimens, manage orders and stock, and ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medication, interpret prescription orders, and provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage
• Recommend OTC medication options to help mitigate individual symptoms to patients
• Maintain records such as pharmacy files, prescriptions, patient profiles, charge system files, and inventories
• Collaborate with health care professionals to plan, monitor, review, or evaluate drug regimens, providing advice on drug characteristics
• Responsible for ordering and purchasing of pharmaceutical supplies and drugs
• Maintenance of stocks, storing, and proper handling
• Compliance with drug laws as regulated by the Board of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Agency, and by the Food and Drug Administration
