Inchcape plc, a global automotive distributor, is hiring a Level 1 SOC Analyst within InchcapeDigital to defend our technology environment. You will monitor security alerts, triage incidents, and participate in threat investigations as part of a collaborative, diverse team.

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to modern security tools and processes while developing your analytical and technical skills. The role offers structured learning, clear reporting, and opportunities to grow in cyber security

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and OS incl. Windows and Linux.
• Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, SOAR, email security, ITSM.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Our Cybersecurity Platform is seeking a Level 1 SOC Analyst to help defend our global technology environment through proactive monitoring, incident triage, and threat investigation. Working alongside experienced SOC professionals, youll gain hands‑on exposure to modern security technologies while developing your technical and analytical skills.

What Youll Do

• Monitor and investigate security alerts across SIEM, EDR, email security, and other security monitoring platforms.
• Perform initial alert triage using established SOC playbooks, runbooks, and operating procedures.
• Collect and document critical investigation data, including indicators of compromise, user and host information, timelines, and supporting evidence.
• Escalate suspected or confirmed security incidents to senior analysts and SOC leadership with clear and accurate reporting.
• Assist in investigations involving phishing, malware, account compromise, and endpoint security incidents under the guidance of experienced analysts.
• Maintain accurate case records, tickets, incident documentation, and contribute to shift handovers and daily SOC operations.
• Participate in shift rotations and support the continuous improvement of threat detection and incident response processes.

About you

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, and security monitoring concepts
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, operating systems, and enterprise technologies including Windows, Linux, cloud, and identity platforms
• Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, SOAR, email security, and ITSM solutions is advantageous
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem‑solving capabilities
• Ability to follow structured processes, investigate alerts methodically, and escal ate appropriately
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
