Job summary

Inchcape plc, a global automotive distributor, is hiring a Level 1 SOC Analyst within InchcapeDigital to defend our technology environment. You will monitor security alerts, triage incidents, and participate in threat investigations as part of a collaborative, diverse team.

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to modern security tools and processes while developing your analytical and technical skills. The role offers structured learning, clear reporting, and opportunities to grow in cyber security

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and OS incl. Windows and Linux.
• Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, SOAR, email security, ITSM.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Ability to follow structured processes and escalate appropriately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for learning and a long-term Cyber Security career.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts across SIEM, EDR, email security.
• Perform initial alert triage using playbooks and runbooks.
• Collect and document critical investigation data.
• Escalate incidents to senior analysts with clear reporting.
• Assist in phishing, malware, account compromise investigations.
• Maintain accurate case records and shift handovers.
• Support continuous improvement of threat detection and incident response.
