Job description

The Legal Support Staff shall provide secretarial and administrative support to the Corporate Legal Affairs Division Head and its departments.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, record, distribute, monitor and file pleadings, documents and correspondences from courts, other government agencies, private entities and the BPI Group
  • Organize, file and safe keep documents of the Legal Departments
  • Maintain docket of cases and litigation files
  • Answer, screen and transfer incoming calls and take messages
  • Schedule meetings of Legal officers and reserve available venues therefor
  • Follow-up entries from the DRD lawyers into the Automated Legal Management System (ALMS)
  • Collect, input, consolidate Daily Service Reports (DSRs) of assigned lawyers
  • Handle and process accounting transactions such as, but not limited to, reimbursements, litigation charges, operational expenses and other institution charges
  • Prepare billings on subsidiaries
  • Prepare, encode and collate payment slips with supporting documents for the Electronic Procurement System (E-Proc)
  • Monitor the whereabouts and track out-of-pocket charges of Legal personnel
  • File Legal administration forms, such as the referral forms and the like
  • Assist Legal personnel on other legal or administrative matters needed from time to time
  • Perform such other functions as may be assigned or delegated by the LAD Head, Legal Departments or the co-heads of Legal

Qualifications

  • 4-year bachelor's degree
  • With experience working in a law firm or providing administrative support to a department head
