The Learning Content Inspector is responsible for identifying, structuring, writing, and optimizing content used for various purposes and platforms. The Learning Content Inspector is also responsible for reviewing content to help ensure and maintain quality across all deliverables. The Learning Content Inspector also partners with different team members throughout the organization, providing consultation services and facilitating writing workshops, when necessary.

The Learning Content Inspector will:

• Collaborate with different team members across the organization in activities such as:

  • Facilitating and participating in various meetings, including (but not limited to) discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, SME consultations, project syncs, etc.

  • Interviewing stakeholders and/or other team members to define outcomes to be targeted

  • Scoping and planning small-scale projects and initiatives, including tasks, timelines, and people resources

  • Leading small-scale projects and initiatives, ensuring timely progress and high quality of work

  • Tracking and communicating progress, and raising issues, risks, and help needed items when necessary

• Apply different methods to identify objectives and align content accordingly, such as:

  • Conducting stakeholder interviews

  • Conducting SME consultations

  • Conducting online research

  • Outlining objectives with corresponding content and appropriate delivery formats and/or learning methodologies

• Write content for various purposes and platforms, including (but not limited to):

  • Storyboards for various types of videos - explainer, promotional, etc.

  • Storyboards for interactive lessons that range in complexity, from page-turners to complex gamified learning experiences

  • Decks for face-to-face training delivery, online learning, business presentations, etc.

  • Knowledge checks and assessments to be used in training

  • Articles for use in internal and/or external knowledge base platforms

  • Scripts and macros to be used in teammate-customer interactions across various channels

  • Newsletters and mailers for business reviews, announcements, and other purposes

• Optimize content for use in knowledge base (KB) platforms, chatbots, and similar technologies

  • Assess provided objectives and/or content

  • Determine appropriate optimization activities given the prescribed content

  • Contribute to scoping efforts to determine corresponding timelines for said optimization activities

  • Conduct actual optimization efforts, ranging from content tagging to full content rewrite

  • Partner with SMEs to ensure accuracy of optimized content

  • Participate in testing activities to ensure optimal performance of the KB, chatbot, and/or other technologies

• Review and edit content to contribute to ensuring the quality of the team’s output

  • Review written output to ensure alignment with prescribed objectives, relevance to and level of engagement for the target audience, organization, substance, consistency, readability, linguistic accuracy, neatness, inclusivity, originality, alignment with stylistic standards prescribed by the in-team style guide, and/or compliance with other required guidelines

  • Review and/or test developed content, such as assembled interactive lessons or configured chatbots, to ensure functionality, seamlessness, ease of use, alignment with their storyboards/wireframes, and/or accuracy

  • Edit written material as needed

  • Summarize and present findings and recommendations

  • Deliver objective and actionable feedback to writers, developers, and/or other team members involved in the development process

• Conduct writing workshops, when necessary

  • Determine learning outcomes that need to be targeted, given the audience’s needs

  • Plan learning experiences to achieve said outcomes

  • Create learning materials for identified learning experiences

  • Facilitating learning experiences to ensure knowledge and skills transfer

• Participate in calibration sessions to ensure alignment with peers and managers, as well as objectivity in reviewing others’ work

• Identify opportunities and lead initiatives to improve the team’s processes and output

  • Analyze the team’s opportunities in writing and developing content

  • Maintain the team’s style guide by regularly reviewing, updating, and adding standards based on observed errors, industry standards, and emerging industry trends

  • Draft project-specific style guides to guide project team members in writing and developing content

  • Track and drive usage of the team’s writing tools/resources

  • Plan for and facilitate internal writing workshops for skills improvement
