Job description

Schedule: Monday – Friday (6:00 AM - 3:00 PM PHT)

The Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist is responsible for delivering engaging training sessions to support the development of the staffs. This includes facilitating induction for new hires, ensuring timely completion of core and compliance training, and supporting ongoing learning needs across the business. You will also assist the Learning and Development Senior Lead in responding to ad hoc training requests and helping design learning interventions that drive staff performance, knowledge, and growth. This role requires strong facilitation skills, flexibility, and a service-oriented mindset.

What are we looking for?

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant course.
  • Solid understanding of the Australian mortgage industry, including lending processes, broker responsibilities, compliance, and platforms such as ApplyOnline and myCRM.
  • Proven experience delivering training in the mortgage or financial services sector, ideally within an aggregator, brokerage, or lender environment.
  • Confident and engaging facilitator with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate complex mortgage processes into easy-to-understand, learner-friendly content.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and coordination skills.
  • Comfortable using tools such as Google Suite, company platforms, and project/task management tools like ClickUp.
  • A learner-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and learner success.

What will you do?

Key Responsibilities

1. Training Delivery & Facilitation

● Deliver virtual and in-person training sessions, including induction, mandatory, and role-specific training.

● Facilitate engaging and learner-focused sessions aligned with organization's service standards and culture.

● Support the roll-out of management and professional development training in collaboration with the L&D Senior Lead.

2. Induction & Core Training Programs

● Lead the design, delivery, and regular review of the PH staff induction program to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

● Ensure mandatory and compliance-related training is delivered and completed within probation timelines.

● Adapt and deliver training content for remote delivery where applicable.

3. Learning Content Support & Development

● Create and update training materials for offshore staffs in collaboration with the wider L&D team.

● Translate technical or business-specific content into accessible training.

● Contribute to content updates based on business changes, learner feedback, or compliance requirements.

4. Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

● Gather and review learner feedback, attendance data, and session outcomes to assess training effectiveness.

● Identify areas for improvement and recommend updates to improve learner experience and content relevance.

● Support the L&D Senior Lead in reporting training data and insights to key stakeholders.

5. Training Requests & Ad Hoc Support

● Respond to training requests from business units as required.

● Assist in creating learning resources for short-term or team-specific needs.

● Liaise with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate and aligned with the company standards.
