Job summary

Nezda Global in Metro Manila is seeking a Security Engineer Lead – Safe Browsing / Threat Detection to guide a team of about 10 professionals and strengthen security operations against online threats. You will drive data‑driven investigations, oversee security analytics, and coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders while mentoring engineers and shaping incident response playbooks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in security operations, web security analysis, or a related analytical role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Strong experience querying and analyzing large datasets using SQL.
• Experience with data-focused programming such as Python.
• Knowledge of phishing, malware, or website vulnerabilities.
• 2+ years of people management and performance management experience.
• Experience leading or managing technical teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.

About the Role

As a Security Engineer Lead – Safe Browsing / Threat Detection, you will lead a team of approximately 10 technical professionals while supporting security operations focused on identifying and preventing online threats.

This role combines technical leadership, security analysis, data-driven investigation, stakeholder management, and people management.

Good-to-Have

• Knowledge of OWASP vulnerabilities and/or Exploit Kits.
• Statistical analysis experience using tools such as R, Stata, or SAS.
