EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Python Full Stack Engineer in Mexico to drive the design and delivery of scalable web applications. You will work across the stack, combining strong Python backend expertise with frontend skills in React or Angular, and you will lead engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.

The role emphasizes architecture, API design, system evolution, mentoring, and collaboration with product owners and stakeholders to define technical direction and standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Python experience.
• 1+ year of leadership experience.
• Strong frontend knowledge in React or Angular.
• Experience with REST APIs and web app architecture.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• English proficiency at least B2.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of full-stack apps using Python and modern frontend frameworks.
• Architect backend services, APIs, and integrations for scalability.
• Define standards for responsive frontend components and oversee their implementation.
• Own databases, cloud services, and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, QA, and stakeholders to shape technical direction.
• Drive technical design sessions, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Mentor engineers and foster technical growth and excellence.
• Ensure long-term code quality, performance, and maintainability across projects.
• Take ownership of delivery, identify risks, and propose solutions.
