Job summary

IT Managers Inc. is seeking a Lead Media Engineer to design and support end-to-end media pipelines. The role focuses on transcoding, QC, asset management, and orchestration across platforms, with hands-on work on Telestream and AWS services.

You will lead escalation handling and onboarding of new customers, while enabling platform integrations and migrations. A strong background in media workflows and scripting is expected.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in media engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on with media asset management, transcoding, QC, and content fulfilment.
• Experience with Telestream Vantage, Qualify, AWS MediaConvert, or equivalent tools.
• Ability to design end-to-end media workflows and support escalations.

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Media Engineer with strong experience in media workflows, transcoding, QC, and workflow orchestration. The role will configure and support end-to-end media pipelines, onboard new platforms/customers, and handle L2/L3 technical escalations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and support end-to-end media workflows.

• Manage asset management, work orders, content fulfilment, transcoding, and QC processes.

• Configure QC and transcoding profiles using tools such as Telestream Vantage, Telestream Qualify, and AWS MediaConvert.

• Support AWS media services including MediaConvert, Lambda, Step Functions, and messaging queues.

• Act as an L2/L3 escalation point for complex media workflow issues.

• Configure and troubleshoot workflow/orchestration platforms such as Polaris or similar tools.

• Support onboarding of new customers and platforms from scratch.

• Assist with platform integrations, migrations, and workflow improvements.

• Troubleshoot issues and provide technical guidance to support teams.

About you

• 5–7 years of experience in media engineering, media workflows, or related roles.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of media asset management, transcoding, QC, and content fulfilment.

• Experience with Telestream Vantage, Telestream Qualify, AWS MediaConvert, or equivalent tools.

• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end media workflows.

• Experience providing L2/L3 technical support and troubleshooting.

• Working knowledge of AWS MediaConvert, Lambda, Step Functions, and messaging queues.

• Experience with workflow/orchestration platforms such as Polaris or similar.

• Python or similar scripting experience is a plus.

• Experience with MAM/PAM platforms such as Iconik is an advantage.

• Experience in platform integration or migration is a plus.
