Job summary

Alstom in India is seeking a Lead Troubleshooter Engineer at Sabarmati Depot to drive locomotive troubleshooting and testing across maintenance and overhauling phases. You’ll maintain and certify tools, manage failure databases, and collaborate with Operation, ILS, Fleet & Warranty, EHS, and Industrial teams to improve reliability and tool readiness.

A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and 10–12 years’ experience in locomotive troubleshooting are preferred; MS Office skills are

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a recognized university.
• Experience with troubleshooting in locomotive contexts and depots is preferred.
• Familiarity with maintaining and certifying tools used in operation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot locomotives across maintenance, mainline attention and overhauls according to best practices.
• Maintain and certify tools for operations.
• Populate and manage failure databases to track reliability issues.
• Facilitate clear communication within the troubleshooting team and cross-functional groups.
• Contribute to continuous reliability improvements and support EHS compliance.
