Job summary

Startek in the Philippines is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee end-to-end general ledger activities for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. You will lead month-, quarter-, and year-end closes, prepare reconciliations, and support audits while upholding internal controls.

You will collaborate with A/P, A/R, Treasury, FP&A, and business partners to resolve accounting issues and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory reporting.
• Experience with audits (internal and external).

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end GL accounting for assigned entities.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax teams for statutory audits.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Identify process improvements and enhance internal controls.
• Provide accounting guidance to stakeholders and act as backup lead.
