Job summary

MedVirtual is seeking a senior software engineer with 7+ years of experience to own and advance production SaaS systems. You will design and maintain integrations across medical, legal, and billing platforms, while ensuring reliable scheduling and secure data flows.

You will lead in a remote-capable team, collaborate with the CTO, ship across frontend and backend, and optimize cloud deployments, observability, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in professional software engineering with ownership of SaaS systems.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills, backend focus, and Python proficiency.
• Experience building frontend apps, backend services, APIs, and relational databases.
• Proven shipping and maintenance of multiple production integrations via REST, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, async processing.
• Understanding of two-way sync, rate limits, token refresh, partial failures, reconciliation, and data consistency.
• Experience with scheduling/transactional workflows where accuracy matters.
• Cloud infra, containers, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and incident response.
• Ability to quickly understand codebases, identify root causes, and implement focused improvements.
• Clear communication and leadership experience with hands-on engineering.

Responsibilities

• CRM, EMR/EHR, and business system integrations with practice-management and medical systems.
• Manage appointments: availability checks, bookings, rescheduling, cancellations, and time-zone handling.
• Connect Twilio and OpenAI for intake, scheduling, transfers, and follow-ups.
• Build reusable connectors with secure auth, data mapping, retries, and monitoring.
• Full-stack delivery across frontend, backend, databases, and third-party services.
• Improve cloud infrastructure, deployments, observability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with CTO, guide engineers, review code, and ensure reliable production use.
