Job summary

UNObank, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Controllership to lead daily accounting operations, close cycles, and regulatory reporting for a fast-growing digital bank in the Philippines.

You will ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records, drive governance, and collaborate with auditors and cross-functional partners. The role oversees journal entries, reconciliations, BSP reporting, and balance sheet substantiation, while implementing process improvements and automation to strengthen

Qualifications

• CPA licensure in the Philippines is required.
• At least 8 years of progressive accounting or controllership experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership of accounting/finance teams.
• Experience in banking/fintech or BSP-regulated institutions is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PFRS, BSP reporting, accounting controls, and Philippine taxation.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations for completeness.
• Prepare trial balances, schedules, working papers, and supporting docs.
• Maintain general ledger, chart of accounts, and proper transaction classification.
• Coordinate BSP regulatory reporting and statutory filings; support audits.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and controls within the controllership function.
• Supervise and develop accountants and finance analysts; set performance expectations.
• Partner with Finance leadership, auditors, and stakeholders to ensure governance.
