Job summary

Hightouch seeks a senior security engineer to own the application security posture end-to-end. You will work hands-on in the codebase and shape security architecture as the team scales from 70 to 140+ engineers, tackling multi-tenant isolation, threat modeling, and data residency challenges.

The role emphasizes high autonomy, impact, and building security with distributed systems in mind, including internet-facing APIs and multi-region support.

Qualifications

• Been an early security hire (first 1-3) at a SaaS or data infrastructure company.
• Securing multi-tenant platforms, tenant isolation, authorization models.
• Privacy-adjacent security focusing on PII, data residency, GDPR/CCPA controls.

Responsibilities

• Own Hightouch's application security posture end-to-end.
• Work in the codebase to shape security architecture as we scale.
• Improve rate limiting, abuse detection, and access control for internet-facing APIs.
• Support multi-region and multi-cloud backend and data residency requirements.
