Job summary

Octal Philippines Inc. is seeking a Java/MuleSoft software engineer in Metro Manila with 3–5 years of enterprise application experience. You will develop using Java SE/EE, Spring Framework, and Hibernate, contributing to integration projects and healthcare data exchanges.

You will work on API development for SOAP/REST, maintain code in SVN/GIT, and use Oracle/MySQL databases. Experience with HL7 and MuleSoft is a strong plus. Collaboration across teams is essential to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS IT / Computer Engineering / Computer Science.
• 3–5 years of software development in enterprise apps using JAVA SE/EE with Spring Framework (CORE, MVC, Security AOP), Hibernate ORM, Javascript, CSS, HTML.
• At least 2 years in Mulesoft, HL7, API development will be a priority.
• Knowledgeable in web services (SOAP/REST); SVN, GIT for source control.
• Experience with Oracle and MySQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development of the department's annual plans and presents proposals to ensure goals are met.
• Contributes to guidelines and activities related to the assigned section.
• Researches trends to improve specialization and efficiency of the unit.
• Coordinates with units and key people for implementing programs and scheduling activities.
• Provides technical and administrative assistance and participates in problem solving and decision making.
• Writes and tests programs according to specification using Java; integrates data flows via Mule configurations; HL7 for clinical data exchange.
