• Create and develop garment layouts for production, ensuring efficient fabric utilization and minimizing waste. This includes planning and arranging pattern pieces on fabric to optimize material usage and reduce production costs.
• Collaborate with designers, pattern makers, and production teams to ensure accurate and feasible garment layouts. This involves communicating design specifications, resolving production challenges, and making necessary adjustments to layouts.
• Prepare and maintain accurate layout records and documentation, including technical drawings, cutting instructions, and material usage reports. This ensures accurate production planning and facilitates efficient communication within the production process.
• Possess strong technical skills in pattern making, grading, and marker making. This includes a deep understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and industry-standard software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra).
• Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production challenges related to fabric utilization and garment construction.
• Be detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Accuracy is crucial in this role to minimize production errors and ensure efficient workflow.
