• Assist in the handling and processing of fish. This includes unloading fish from boats, sorting and grading fish, cleaning and gutting fish, and preparing fish for packaging and distribution.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. This includes cleaning and sanitizing processing equipment, maintaining proper hygiene standards, and following food safety regulations.
• Perform general labor tasks as needed. This may include loading and unloading supplies, moving equipment, and assisting with other tasks as directed by supervisors.
• Possess physical strength and stamina. This includes the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks in a sometimes wet and slippery environment.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. This includes the ability to work efficiently and accurately while handling large volumes of fish.
• Be willing to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. This may include working in shifts to accommodate fishing schedules and market demands.
