Job summary

ASA Color & Chemical Industries, Inc. is seeking an On-site Technical Support Technician to assist customers during trials and commercial runs of printing inks and laminating adhesives.

The role includes monitoring ink performance, troubleshooting, and operating ASA Color machines at customer sites as needed. Initially, you will be assigned as Inhouse Technician in Cavite to transition color matching formulations to ASA Color inks and train lab staff on basic printer operations.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel frequently to Gensan, CDO, and Manila.
• Resident of Davao, General Santos, or willing to relocate.
• Capable of operating gravure, CI Flexo, Flexo corrugated machines.
• Capable of operating ink dispenser/ink kitchen.
• Can operate manual and automatic viscosity controller.
• Knowledgeable with ink dispenser software.
• Familiar with spectrophotometers (X-Rite, Spectroeye, Techkon) and result interpretation.
• Excellent problem-solving and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares written reports on technical service rendered to customers.
• Initially assigned as Inhouse Technician at a Cavite corrugated box printing plant and transitions color matching formulations to ASA Color inks.
• Helps train ASA Color’s Laboratory/Technical Staff on basic printing machine operations.
• Operates client machines with client consent.
• Performs laboratory work.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

• Provides on-site technical support to ASA Color’s customers during trial and commercial run of its supplied products such as printing inks (Rotogravure, Flexographic, and Offset), and laminating adhesives;
• Monitors ink performance during runs and assist in troubleshooting issues for inks and when necessary, machines;
• Shall operate the machines provided and loaned by ASA Color to customers whenever required;
• Prepares written reports on the technical service rendered to customers;
• Will be initially assigned as Inhouse Technician for ASA Color in a corrugated box printing plant in Cavite and will be in charge of transitioning color matching formulations from its previous ink supplier to ASA Color supplied ink.
• Will help train and familiarize ASA Color’s Laboratory/Technical Staff on basic printing machine operations.
• Shall help operate client’s machine, upon concession/approval of client.
• Performs laboratory works
• Perform other tasks, as assigned.
