Job summary

SGS is seeking a Laboratory Assistant in Subic, Philippines to manage sample storage and disposal, keep logs, and support the laboratory's daily operations.

You will ensure cleanliness, assist with inventory, and uphold QHSEE policies, while following SGS Code of Integrity and safety guidelines.

This role requires at least a high school diploma and a strong commitment to accuracy and safe handling of laboratory materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Stores samples in designated areas and logs them in the sample storage logbook.
• Disposes samples promptly and logs disposal date.
• Maintains sample storage and disposal logbooks; ensures logbooks are signed as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in the laboratory.
• Handles cleaning of laboratory glassware.
• Assists in inventory of gases, glassware, and laboratory supplies.
• Ensures compliance with SGS QHSEE policies and related requirements.
• Operates safety equipment and reports damaged or lost equipment.
• Participates in 5S program and safety initiatives.
