Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related field preferred.
• At least two years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Strong organization and record-keeping skills.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.

Responsibilities

The Laboratory Custodian is responsible for the proper coordination, preparation, maintenance, and safe operation of the laboratory, equipment, and materials.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate laboratory activities and schedules
• Prepare and maintain laboratory rooms, equipment, and materials
• Operate, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
• Manage laboratory supplies and maintain accurate equipment and inventory records
• Coordinate equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and calibration
• Assist faculty members and students during laboratory activities
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, cleanliness, and proper operating procedures
• Perform other laboratory-related duties as may be assigned

About you

• Preferably a graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or any related field
• At least two (2) years of relevant laboratory experience is an advantage
• Knowledge and ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Good organizational and coordination skills
• Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate inventory and equipment records
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and proper operating procedures
