Environmental-Health Laboratory Services Cooperative in Taguig, Metro Manila, is seeking a qualified microbiology professional to join our team. The role covers SOP compliance, QC checks, sample handling, and participation in audits to uphold QMS and safety.

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Technology, or Medical Technology and a valid license. The position offers trainings, health benefits, bereavement leave, and work-life balance.

Mansioni

• Ensure full compliance with SOPs, GHPs, safety regulations, QMS and regulatory requirements.
• Perform routine lab tasks including microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, preparation of reagents and media, inventory management, quality control, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain lab cleanliness, safety, and orderliness; handle lab waste properly.
• Prepare and maintain accurate test results and records; update procedures related to the QMS.
• Prepare and maintain stock cultures of reference microorganisms.
• Assist with procurement and evaluation of laboratory supplies and external service providers.
• Support sample handling tasks such as receipt, coding, encoding and sampling.
• Participate in internal and external audits and proficiency testing.
• Provide assistance to laboratory staff and support to other departments and clients.
• Identify, investigate, and manage non-conformities; implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Support hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk mitigation efforts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Laboratory Practices, safety regulations, Quality Management System (QMS), and relevant regulatory requirements.

2. Perform routine laboratory tasks including microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, preparation of reagents and media, inventory management, quality control checks, and equipment maintenance.

3. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, and orderliness by cleaning equipment and facilities, and properly handling laboratory waste.

4. Implement good documentation practices by preparing and maintaining accurate test results, records, and updating procedures related to QMS.

5. Prepare and maintain stock cultures of reference microorganisms.

6. Assist with procurement and evaluation of laboratory supplies and external service providers.

7. Support sample handling tasks such as receipt, coding, encoding, and sampling.

8. Participate in internal and external audits and proficiency testing.

9. Provide assistance to laboratory staff and technical support to other departments and clients.

10. Help identify, investigate, and manage non-conformities and implement corrective/preventive actions.

11. Support hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk mitigation efforts.
