Hamilton Barnes is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a fully remote role within the Philippines. Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Network Security Engineering, MSP/Systems Integrator preferred.
• Hands-on with Palo Alto Networks technologies (PA-Series, PAN-OS, Panorama, Prisma Access, GlobalProtect, WildFire).
• Experience designing, deploying, migrating and troubleshooting enterprise firewall environments.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, VPNs and security protocols.
• Experience with Aruba networking (switching, wireless, SD-WAN).
• Knowledge of SASE/SSE, Zero Trust, and firewall policy management.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and migrate enterprise network security solutions across Palo Alto technologies.
• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex firewall and security incidents.
• Lead troubleshooting, RCA, and incident resolution for critical network security events.
• Provide security architecture guidance on Zero Trust and SASE/SSE.
• Collaborate with services teams to ensure project delivery and handovers.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing.

Applications are open for a Senior Network Engineer to support complex enterprise customer environments, combining technical project work, advanced troubleshooting, and security consultancy. The ideal candidate will work across Professional Services, Managed Services, and solution design, acting as a senior technical escalation point while supporting customers with the deployment, optimisation, and ongoing management of their network security infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, configure, and migrate enterprise network security solutions, primarily across Palo Alto Networks technologies.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point (L4) for complex firewall, network security, and connectivity incidents.
• Implement and manage Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, Prisma Access, GlobalProtect, and associated security services.
• Support enterprise networking environments incorporating Aruba switching, wireless, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Lead technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution of critical network security incidents.
• Provide technical consultancy to enterprise customers on security architecture, firewall optimisation, Zero Trust, and SASE/SSE solutions.
• Deliver network security projects, including firewall migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and security transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Professional Services and Managed Services teams to ensure successful project delivery and operational handovers.
• Participate in customer technical reviews, solution scoping, and pre-sales discussions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, supporting knowledge sharing and engineering best practices.

Skills/Must Have:

• 7+ years of experience in Network Security Engineering, ideally within an MSP, Systems Integrator, or enterprise services environment.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Networks, including PA-Series firewalls, PAN-OS, Panorama, Prisma Access, GlobalProtect, and WildFire.
• Experience designing, deploying, migrating, and troubleshooting enterprise firewall environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise routing, switching, TCP/IP, VPNs, and network security protocols.
• Experience working with Aruba networking technologies, including Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN, switching, and wireless infrastructure.
• Knowledge of SASE/SSE architectures, Zero Trust principles, firewall policy management, and security best practices.
• Proven experience handling complex technical escalations, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to engage technical stakeholders and senior customer representatives.
• Experience contributing to technical solution design, project delivery, and pre-sales activities.
• Palo Alto PCNSE certification or equivalent practical expertise is highly desirable.
