We are seeking a seasoned L3 Middleware Engineer (Solutions Engineering) to design, engineer, and optimize enterprise middleware platforms. This senior technical position focuses on advanced L3 troubleshooting, solutions architecture, and driving platform modernization across cloud and hybrid environments.
Position Responsibilities:
Solutions Engineering & Architecture: Design scalable, secure, and highly available middleware solutions that align with enterprise standards. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to establish integration patterns and platform strategies, while leading solution designs for application onboarding and cloud migrations.
Advanced Support (L3) & Problem Resolution: Serve as the primary L3 escalation point for complex middleware incidents and performance bottlenecks. Execute deep root cause analyses to implement permanent fixes and drive proactive platform stability.
Platform Engineering & Optimization: Engineer and optimize middleware platforms spanning both on-premises and cloud (Azure) environments. Implement robust high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning strategies.
Cloud & Modernization: Spearhead cloud migration initiatives, transitioning workloads from on-premises to Azure IaaS/PaaS. Design modern, cloud-native middleware solutions utilizing core Azure services.
Security & Governance: Enforce strict security protocols, including TLS implementation, certificate lifecycle management, security patching, and server hardening to ensure enterprise compliance.
Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in middleware engineering.
Strong expertise across core middleware platforms such as WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, and IIS.
Demonstrated experience with Azure and/or other major cloud platforms, including API Management, Service Bus, and App Services.
Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns and cloud migration methodologies.
Background in application development is a strong advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
Containerization experience using Docker and Kubernetes.
Relevant cloud certifications (specifically Azure).
