Job summary

Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina Group of Companies in the Philippines is hiring kitchen staff to join our busy kitchen team. You will assist in food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene standards to deliver high-quality meals.

Responsibilities include food preparation, cooking, stock management, sanitation, assisting during service, and ensuring safety compliance. This full-time role offers staff meals and a structured eight-hour shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Task-focused kitchen competencies such as food prep, cooking, sanitation and safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment under guidance of senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients, chopping vegetables, and portioning meat or other proteins.
• Cooking: Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to set recipes or under the guidance of the head chef.
• Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring equipment is clean and in working order.
• Stock Management: Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, restocking ingredients, and notifying supervisors of low inventory.
• Assistance During Service: Support the kitchen team during busy periods by ensuring timely preparation and plating of food items.
• Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures, including handling and storing food items at correct temperatures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff members to ensure smooth operation and efficient service.
• Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Flexibility: Willingness to take on various tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the kitchen manager or head chef.
