Job summary

Mary Grace Cafe at SM Megamall is seeking a cashier to join our team. You will handle transactions, assist customers, and maintain a clean checkout area. The role requires a high school graduate with cashier experience and a customer‑focused attitude.

Familiarity with POS systems, good arithmetic skills, and proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite are preferred. Work is in person, six days a week, with potential for training and growth toward permanent employment.

Qualifications

• At least a High School graduate.
• Work experience as a cashier.
• Customer satisfaction‑oriented.
• Familiarity with cash register and POS.
• Good arithmetic skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office/Google Suite.
• Capable of safely lifting and handling heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Manages transactions using POS and cash registers.
• Scans goods and ensures pricing is accurate.
• Collects payment whether in cash or credit.
• Issues receipts, refunds, changes, or tickets.
• Resolves customer complaints and provides information.
• Maintains clean and tidy checkout areas.
• Tracks transactions on balance sheets and reports discrepancies.
• Handles merchandise returns and exchanges.
• Knowledgeable on basic reports and inventory.
• Organizes stocking, displays, and inventory maintenance.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
