The role will work closely with our Lead Web Developer and wider ProductTech colleagues, initially focusing primarily on WordPress development for our public-facing websites and content platforms. Over time, there will also be opportunities to work with React/JavaScript applications and other technologies used across TRF’s digital portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development, maintenance and improvement of TRF’s WordPress websites, including custom Gutenberg themes, templates, blocks and content features.

  • Write clean, maintainable HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP, following agreed coding standards and security practices.
  • Help translate design, product and stakeholder requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Support front-end development work using JavaScript and, where appropriate, modern frameworks such as React.

  • Contribute to testing and quality assurance, including browser/device checks, accessibility considerations and regression testing before release.
  • Help maintain technical documentation, release notes and implementation notes for the products and systems you work on.
  • Learn and apply new technologies, frameworks and tools as TRF’s digital products evolve.
  • Work Mode: Hybrid (2-3 days work from office is mandatory every week). Shift Timing: 10am IST to 7pm IST.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree is required.
  • At least 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Some experience with PHP and WordPress development, or strong evidence of the ability to learn quickly in this area.
  • A basic understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and core web application concepts.
  • An interest in building accessible, usable and reliable web products for a broad range of audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to test your work carefully before release.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • A willingness to learn new technology stacks, frameworks and development practices as part of a small, multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications

  • TypeScript experience.
  • Experience using GitHub or similar collaborative development platforms.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery workflows.
  • Experience with testing frameworks or tools such as Jest, Playwright, Cypress, Puppeteer or JUnit.
  • Awareness of web accessibility standards, responsive design and cross-browser testing.
