UNA Tax and Accounting Services is seeking an audit and tax associate with 2–3 years of experience to support senior teams. The role focuses on building foundational audit and tax compliance skills, and increasing independence through complex tasks.

You will review simple accounts for accuracy, assist with reconciliations, substantive testing, working papers, and tax computations such as VAT and withholding tax filings, in compliance with IFRS, PFRS, PSAs, and BIR regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA candidate preferred; pursuing CPA required.
• 2–3 years in audit, assurance, or tax compliance with increasing independence.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to analyze financial data and perform basic reviews.

• Build upon audit and tax compliance skills by executing complex tasks and supporting senior team members.
• Review simple accounts for accuracy before submission to seniors; provide workflow guidance.

• Role Focus: Build upon foundational audit and tax compliance skills by executing complex tasks, demonstrating increasing independence, and supporting senior team members.
• Review & Mentorship: Perform initial reviews of simple accounts handled by Junior Associate 1s to ensure accuracy before submission to Senior Associates, and provide basic workflow guidance and feedback.
• Engagement Execution: Assist with financial reconciliations, substantive testing, working paper preparation, and tax computations (such as VAT and withholding tax filings) in compliance with IFRS, PFRS, PSAs, and BIR regulations.
• Technical & Process Growth: Strengthen technical competencies, maintain proper documentation and audit trails, and suggest minor process enhancements.
• Collaboration: Communicate task progress proactively with Senior Associates and Managers while assisting engagement teams with reporting and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA candidate preferred; willingness to pursue CPA certification is required.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in audit, assurance, or tax compliance, demonstrating increased independence and review capabilities
