Job summary

ITJ is seeking an Associate Full Stack Developer with hands-on experience to grow software design skills, collaborate with peers, and communicate effectively. The engineer will build, test, and evaluate software applications, working with senior team members to ensure functionality per requirements.

Requirement includes Python, React/Angular familiarity, AWS exposure, and a drive to expand responsibilities while delivering quality software within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 2 - 3 years of hands-on professional experience designing, developing, or maintaining software applications using Python or a similar high-level language/framework
• Exposure to logging, monitoring, and observability platforms (Datadog, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch)
• Experience writing unit tests and contributing to test coverage
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture concepts
• Working knowledge of AWS or another cloud provider; exposure to serverless/Lambda is a plus
• Working knowledge of REST API
• Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts (AWS CDK) is a plus
• Basic experience integrating authentication and authorization into a web application
• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0
• Working knowledge of SQL databases: basic queries, joins, indexing, foreign keys
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with a modern frontend framework (React or Angular)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Exposure to Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) and tools like Jira/Confluence
• Familiarity with Docker containerization

We're looking for an Associate Full Stack Developer who has some hands-on professional experience under their belt, and who is looking to continue growing their software design skills, collaborate with peers, and communicate effectively with other members of the team. The Engineer will build, test, and evaluate software applications and systems, working closely with senior team members to ensure they function according to specified requirements. This person must be able to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to help deliver software products to the business. This position requires hands-on experience with Python, React, TypeScript, and AWS, along with a strong willingness to keep learning and take on more responsibility over time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Apply best practices in software development, including software design, code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration
• Apply and continue building knowledge of computing systems and system design, with guidance from senior engineers as needed
• Demonstrate teamwork, problem-solving, and clear communication skills

• Help construct, deploy, and maintain computer applications software or specialized utility programs, with support from senior team members on more complex work
