Job summary

Austal Philippines is seeking a Junior Naval Architect to lead naval architecture and structural calculations for our ferry/ship design projects in Balamban, Cebu. You will contribute to overall design delivery and coordinate with the team to ensure quality outputs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering with 5+ years of relevant shipbuilding experience, plus proficiency in AutoCAD, STRAND, and Maxsurf. Licensing is a strong plus for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
• Licensed Philippine Naval Architect and Marine Engineer is ideal.
• 5+ years in ship design/shipbuilding, preferably aluminium.
• Strong technical skills and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Handle naval architecture and structural calculations for ferry/ship design projects.
• Provide technical support to the structural design team, fabrication and supply chain.
• Supervise structural designers and drafters as required.
