Maxicare Health Care is hiring a Junior Medical Technologist (Phlebotomist) to support accurate diagnostics and a positive patient experience. You will confirm patient identity, collect blood, label and transport specimens, and provide mobile phlebotomy when required.

The role requires PRC-licensure and a BS in Medical Technology, with 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience. You will work with lab teams to ensure on-time processing, infection control, and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• BS Medical Technology degree required.
• PRC-licensed Medical Technologist required.
• 1–2 years of phlebotomy or clinical lab experience preferred.
• Skilled in blood collection and patient engagement.
• Proficient in computer skills and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and requisition details before any procedure.
• Label and handle samples with strict adherence to laboratory protocols.
• Provide mobile/home phlebotomy services when required.
• Ensure patients feel safe, respected, and comfortable at every stage.
• Recognize and respond to adverse reactions (e.g., dizziness).
• Prepare and transport specimens following biosafety protocols.
• Coordinate with laboratory teams to ensure on-time processing.
• Follow infection control practices, PPE usage, and hazardous materials protocols.
• Check and replenish phlebotomy supplies.
• Maintain accurate logs and patient feedback forms.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary draws accurately and safely.

Key Duties

• Confirm patient identity and requisition details before any procedure

• Label and handle samples with strict adherence to laboratory protocols

• Provide mobile/home phlebotomy services, when required

• Ensure patients feel safe, respected, and comfortable at every stage of the process

• Recognize and respond to any adverse reactions (e.g., dizziness, fainting, hematoma)

• Prepare and transport specimens following cold chain and biosafety protocols

• Coordinate with laboratory teams to ensure on-time processing and documentation

• Follow infection control practices, PPE usage, and hazardous materials protocols

• Check and replenish phlebotomy supplies (needles, alcohol, tubes, etc.)

• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and patient feedback forms

• Perform accurate and safe blood and specimen collection procedures, including venipuncture and capillary draws

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Medical Technology

• PRC-licensed Medical Technologist

• BLS certification is an advantage

• 1–2 years of phlebotomy or clinical lab experience is ideal

• Skilled in blood extraction and patient engagement

• Computer-proficient; able to multitask in fast-paced settings

• Compassionate communicator with good written and verbal skills

• Quick learner and adaptable in a high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment

• Customer-service oriented and professional when handling patient concerns

• Amenable to rotational shifts (5-day work week, varying rest days)
