Job summary

Rocketpartners in Makati City, Manila, is seeking a Junior Java Cloud Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to join our cloud-native development team. The role focuses on building full-stack apps with Java Spring Boot and Angular, REST APIs, and cloud deployments using AWS or Azure.

You will collaborate in an Agile setting, participate in code reviews, and work with Docker and Kubernetes to deliver scalable solutions. Strong English communication and a related degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 1–2 years of professional software development experience.
• Native English speaking fluency.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
• Experience with Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS or Azure preferred).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure for deployment and integration.
• Collaborate with team members using Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Git, JIRA, CI/CD).
• Participate in code reviews and unit/integration testing.
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues.
• Learn and adapt to evolving technologies and best practices.
