Job summary

Planate Management Group seeks a Junior Finance Specialist in the Philippines to manage payroll, AP/AR, tax filings, reconciliations and financial reporting. You will support budgeting, variance analysis and cross-department collaboration, ensuring GAAP/IFRS compliance.

Responsibilities include month-end close, fixed assets, inventory, and audit readiness within a multinational services environment. A CPA (preferred) and 5+ years experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience including GL, payroll, and reporting.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and local statutory requirements (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
• Proficiency in accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full accounting cycle including journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations and month/year-end close.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and statutory requirements.
• Manage payroll operations end-to-end including computation, disbursement, and issue resolution.
• Handle A/P and A/R processes with proper classification, invoicing, collections and reconcilations.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation; manage asset capitalization/disposals.
• Ensure timely tax filings and statutory compliance (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to aid decision-making.
• Drive audit readiness, internal controls, and process improvements across departments.
• Perform other responsibilities as appropriate.

The Junior Finance Specialist is responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting functions across the organization. This includes overseeing payroll, accounts payable and receivable, tax filings, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role also involves resolving discrepancies, coordinating with various departments and divisions, and supporting operational accounting needs—including inventory and financial management.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations, and month/year-end close.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and statutory requirements.

Deliverables:

• Accurate monthly and annual financial statements.
• Timely payroll processing and statutory tax filings.
• Fully reconciled accounts with discrepancies resolved.
• Updated and accurate inventory records for F&A operations.
• Comprehensive cross-functional financial support and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including general ledger, payroll, and reporting.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory compliance requirements (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
