Job summary

TLNT is seeking a Junior Editor to drive high-volume, platform-native edits for Reels, TikToks, and Shorts. You’ll work in Adobe Premiere, adapting footage quickly to platform-native formats, while maintaining brand style and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a portfolio of social content, solid Premiere Pro skills, and a growth mindset. This is a fully remote role with PST hours overlap and room to grow within TLNT.

You'll work fast and clean in Adobe Premiere, keeping pace with a medium-to-high volume of short-form edits, resizes, and caption passes so the work ships consistently and on time. You know what's landing on each platform right now - the hooks, the pacing, the formats, the on-screen text conventions - because you consume this content natively, and you bring that fluency to every cut. You take feedback openly and iterate quickly; you're early in your career and hungry to level up, and you treat every note as a way to get sharper. By owning the short-form and resize workload, you free our senior editor to focus on the high-craft projects - and you become the reason our social output finally has a consistent look, quality, and cadence.

What You'll Do

• High-Volume Social Editing: Turn a steady flow of footage into platform-native Reels, TikToks, and Shorts in Adobe Premiere, delivering a medium-to-high volume of cuts consistently and on deadline.
• Platform-Native Craft: Edit for how each platform actually works - strong opening hooks, native pacing, aspect ratios, and on-screen text conventions - so content feels made for the feed, not reformatted from long-form.
• Resizes & Repurposing: Own resizes and short-form adaptations across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, freeing senior editing bandwidth for higher-craft work.
• Captions & On-Screen Text: Add and style captions and subtitles (including auto-caption tools) and on-screen text that match platform norms and brand style.
• Speed & Cleanliness: Execute clean, accurate edits quickly under a volume workload without letting quality slip.
• Trend Awareness: Stay current on trending formats, sounds, and platform-native conventions, and bring relevant ideas into the edit.
• Basic Motion & Audio Polish: Apply light motion polish via Premiere MOGRTs or After Effects templates and basic audio cleanup in Premiere or Audition as needed.
• File & Asset Organization: Keep project files, versions, and assets organized and easy for anyone to hand off or pick up.
• Feedback & Iteration: Take creative and technical feedback openly and turn revisions around quickly and cleanly.

What You Need

• A portfolio of platform-native social content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts, or equivalent) that shows genuine social editing instincts - not reformatted long-form work (portfolio review required).
• Functional Adobe Premiere Pro skills, capable of keeping pace with a medium-volume asset workload.
• A current, working understanding of how content performs across social platforms - hooks, formats, pacing, and trends.
• Demonstrated ability to execute clean edits quickly (examples of fast-turnaround work expected during screening).
• Openly coachable, with a growth mindset and a non-defensive attitude toward feedback - this is a junior role, and the willingness to take and apply notes matters more than a polished ego.
• Daily overlap with core PST / LA Head Quarters hours.
• Familiarity with Premiere MOGRTs or After Effects templates for basic motion polish on social cuts is a plus.
• Familiarity with music and audio licensing best practices and the ability to choose appropriate music and SFX for edits from our approved music/SFX library.
• Experience managing captions and subtitles, including auto-caption tools and styled on-screen text, is a plus.
• Active awareness of trending content formats and platform-native creative conventions is a plus.
• Basic audio cleanup skills within Premiere or Audition is a plus.
• Clean personal organizational habits around project files and asset management is a plus.
• Must have Apple-based hardware capable of handling 4K ProRes HQ footage and high-speed internet able to download /upload quickly (at least M1 Pro or M2 Mac with at least 32GB RAM and 2TB hard drive space, plus 100Mbps-download/50Mbps-upload internet speeds).
• A love of food and cooking is a plus, though not required to thrive in the role.
