Job summary

Copias DataTech Solutions OPC is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to support predictive analytics and credit risk modeling initiatives.

You will perform data preparation, exploratory data analysis, and develop and evaluate statistical and machine learning models for business and client needs.

Candidates with fresh grads or 1–3 years of relevant experience are welcome; strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills are important in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Experience or exposure to credit risk modeling or financial data is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of statistics, probability, and basic machine learning concepts.
• Comfortable working with data and interpreting analytical results.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools or libraries is an advantage.
• Good communication skills and ability to explain technical findings clearly and understandably.
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Support development of models related to credit risk and financial analytics.
• Assist in developing, testing, and improving data science and predictive modeling solutions.
• Perform data preparation, cleaning, transformation, and EDA.
• Analyze datasets to identify patterns and insights for business decisions.
• Assist in developing and validating statistical and machine learning models.
• Perform model evaluation using appropriate metrics.
• Prepare data, results, and documentation for internal and client-facing use.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Product/Project Management, and other stakeholders.
• Help troubleshoot model and data-related issues and improve existing models.
• Research relevant data science and industry practices.
• Maintain documentation of datasets, methodologies, experiments, and results.
• Support other data analytics and machine learning initiatives.
