Job summary

RELX in the Philippines is seeking a data analyst to support sales regions with data analysis, reporting, and BI solutions. You will collect, manipulate, and query internal data to track performance and generate actionable insights.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or 2 years of college, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and proficiency in SQL, Excel, and BI tools. Night shift availability and strong communication are also valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of college with no back subjects or incomplete units.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience in a business or sales environment analyzing data, writing queries, and developing reporting solutions.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn internal customer, sales tools, and related applications.
• Willing to work on fixed night shift.
• Proficient in SQL, Outlook, Excel and Internet Applications.
• Exposure in Tableau, Salesforce and PowerBI is an advantage.
• Strong organizational, time management and forecasting skills.
• Reliable internet connection – 10mbps or above.

Responsibilities

• Performs data analysis and reporting utilizing a detailed knowledge of computer systems, data analysis and database management to support the needs of sales regions.
• Collects and manipulates data as well as create, design, and develop queries to analyze, track and report internal data.
• Prepares reports and recommendations and participates in the analysis and interpretation of data as appropriate.
• Develops and support reporting and BI systems across business functions.
• Designs and develops reports and dashboards that are user-friendly, scalable across multiple teams, provide drill down capabilities, and supported by the agreed methods and tools.
• Performs advanced data hygiene checks and implement precautionary measures to ensure data quality.
• Verifies the collected data is within required quality standards.
• Plays an active role in maintenance of reports, dashboards, and databases.
• Adheres to current standards (e.g., GDPR requirements).
• Creates (wherever applicable) and maintains documentation related to data infrastructure, dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions, and stores output in appropriate repositories.
• Assists in the development of end-user training materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
