ISS STOXX is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join our Global Meeting Services (GMS) team. You will monitor corporate action events, collect documents, and encode meeting details to support client reporting and voting recommendations.

The role requires strong English communication, teamwork, and meticulous data handling. Initially you will be onsite five days a week for two months, then move to a hybrid schedule with three onsite days and two work-from-home days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Procure documents such as Annual Reports, Notices of Meeting and circulars.
• Engage issuers via email/phone for details when needed.
• Collect meeting details: date, type, record date, location, time, voting instructions.
• Identify securities with voting rights (ISIN, SEDOL, CUSIP, CINS).
• Encode meeting agenda and voting options in the database.
• Input registrar details and market deadlines for votes.
• Capture meeting results into the database.
• Support other related projects and investigate market issues.
• Communicate with GMS and other ISS teams; respond to queries.
• Participate in working committees or project initiatives.

OVERVIEW

ISS STOXX is hiring! We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our Global Meeting Services (GMS) team. Global Meeting Services (GMS) provides data support and services across markets worldwide, including but not limited to the United States, Canada, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia‑Pacific region.

The team continuously monitors and gathers relevant information on upcoming corporate action events‑specifically shareholders' meetings‑where matters such as acquisitions, mergers, and the election of directors and auditors may be discussed. Meeting results are also collected.

All gathered information is accurately entered into the database, which is then used to generate reports for clients. This data further supports other teams in conducting additional research for the ultimate issuance of ISS Vote Recommendations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor corporate action events such as shareholders' meetings using various sources, including stock exchanges, regulatory agencies, company websites, EDGAR, SEDAR, and similar platforms.
• Procure relevant shareholder meeting documents such as the Annual Report, Notice of Meeting, Information Circular, Proxy Forms, and other Corporate Governance materials.
• Engage companies or issuers via email or phone when additional details are required.
• Collect meeting details including date, meeting type, record date, location, time, and voting instructions.
• Ascertain the correct securities (ISIN, SEDOL, CUSIP, and CINS) that have voting rights for the meeting.
• Extract and encode the meeting agenda into the database to inform clients of the resolutions to be voted on.
• Input accurate voting instructions, including valid vote options, market deadlines, and registrar details.
• Collect and encode meeting results into the database.
• Assist with other relevant projects as assigned from time to time.
• Investigate market-related issues raised by various internal teams.
• Address and resolve issues identified in daily reports.
• Ensure effective communication between GMS and other ISS teams to maintain smooth workflow.
• Respond promptly to queries from clients, issuers, and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in various working committees and/or project initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Training & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or any related field.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Understanding corporate governance, corporate transactions, and capital markets is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AI tools and similar technologies is a plus.

Work Location & Schedule

Willing to work on a late midshift/graveyard shift schedule Amenable to working extended hours (including overtime, holidays, and weekends) during the Proxy Season. Willing to work onsite five (5) days a week for the first two months, then transition to a hybrid work setup thereafter (3 days onsite & 2 days' work from home).
