Job summary

Jill L. Tolentino Customs Brokerage in Binondo, Manila (on-site) is seeking an Accounting Associate to support the implementation and maintenance of our accounting system using QuickBooks Online.

You will assist in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and cash management processes, while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. The role involves organizing financial records, preparing reports, and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; QuickBooks knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the accounting system using QuickBooks Online.
• Set up chart of accounts, customer profiles, vendor records, and workflows.
• Organize and digitize historical accounting records and supporting documents.
• Document accounting policies, procedures and SOPs.
• Support data migration and reconciliation of opening balances.
• Record daily financial transactions and post journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
• Verify documents before recording transactions.
• Maintain organized accounting files and records (physical and electronic).
• Monitor customer accounts and outstanding receivables; prepare invoices.
• Assist in aging schedules; coordinate collections and reconciliations.
• Process supplier invoices and reimbursement requests; verify approvals.
• Prepare accounts payable schedules; monitor due dates.
• Assist in cash management; record deposits and transfers.
• Coordinate with operations and management on financial documentation.
• Assist during audits and financial reviews.
