Job summary

JB Packaging Corporation is seeking a Junior Structural Package Designer to design and develop packaging solutions that protect products in transit while delivering strong visual impact. You will lead structural layouts for printing, decorations, and tooling, collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the packaging development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in packaging, printing, or rigid box manufacturing.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and CAD programs.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
• Excellent technical, analytical abilities.
• Strong leadership and decisive decision-making.
• Project management with ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise drawings, layouts, and die lines for new and existing projects.
• Develop structural designs for luxury rigid boxes and related packaging formats.
• Lead layout creation for printing, post deco processes, boards, wraps, linings, cards, etc.
• Create, adjust, and modify drawings to validate structural accuracy and manufacturability.
• Create 2D and 3D drawings for machine tooling and jigs.
• Create detailed drawings for die cut tooling.
• Operate the plotter machine for sample development and perform manual sample making.
• Provide support to production teams in printing, post decoration, and die cutting processes.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance, scheduled servicing, and routine operational checks of the plotter equipment.
• Supervise and help manage the packaging development process from concept through production.

About the role

As a Junior Structural Package Designer, you will design and develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions for luxury products. Your objective is to ensure packaging protects products throughout transportation and distribution, delivers exceptional visual impact to the customer, and remains cost-effective within the company's production cycle. Reporting to the Design & Development Manager, you will take a lead role in creating structural layouts for printing, decoration, rigid boards, tooling, and specialty materials while supporting cross-functional teams throughout the packaging development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Create and revise drawings, layouts, and die lines for new and existing projects
• Develop structural designs for luxury rigid boxes and related packaging formats

About you
