We are looking for a motivated Junior Solution Engineer with up to 3 years of experience and a strong interest in cloud, data, software engineering, and AI-enabled delivery. The ideal candidate has solid technical fundamentals, a learning mindset, and the curiosity to grow hands-on skills in AWS, Snowflake, and modern engineering practices.
You will have the following responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and improvement of software and data solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support the implementation of reliable and secure data pipelines and data products using AWS, Snowflake, and related technologies.
- Assist with modelling, curating, and maintaining Snowflake datasets, schemas, and data structures in line with platform standards.
- Apply good engineering practices such as clean code, modular design, automated testing, version control, documentation, and maintainable implementation.
- Work with senior engineers, product owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to understand requirements and deliver well-defined tasks.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to support coding, refactoring, documentation, testing, debugging, and solution exploration.
- Support cloud-native integrations and automation on AWS, while building practical exposure to compute, storage, networking, security, orchestration, and event-driven patterns.
- Participate in deployments, releases, troubleshooting, production support, peer code reviews, and pair programming.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, or a related technical discipline.
- Up to 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, solution engineering, data engineering, cloud engineering, or a related technical role. Recent graduates with strong internship, academic, or project experience may also be considered.
- Good understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including programming, APIs, data structures, testing, debugging, documentation, and maintainability.
- Hands-on experience with Python and/or Java.
- Good SQL fundamentals and exposure to data modelling, data pipelines, data quality, or cloud data platforms such as Snowflake. SnowPro® Core Certification is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of AWS concepts and services such as compute, storage, networking, identity and access management, security, monitoring, serverless, or event-driven architectures. AWS certification is a plus, but not required.
- Practical exposure to AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools, with willingness to use them responsibly to support coding, testing, documentation, and productivity.
- Exposure to AWS AI services, Amazon Bedrock, retrieval-augmented generation, agent-based solution patterns, model evaluation, guardrails, or responsible AI practices is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows, CI/CD concepts, infrastructure-as-code concepts, automated testing, DevOps practices, or production support is an advantage.
- Awareness of data security, access control, governance, and responsible use of sensitive data.
- Strong curiosity, problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from senior engineers while contributing actively in a team environment.
- Good collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional technology teams.
- Preferred: interest in the financial industry and willingness to learn about financial markets, data sensitivity, regulatory expectations, and enterprise controls.
